Job Title:         Development Coordinator

Reports to:     Director of Development

Status:            Part Time, contract 


General Description:

The Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Collaborative’ s development and communications efforts. This unique opportunity is ideal for someone interested in gaining development and communications experience and strengthening their project management skills in an entry-level role.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively use Donor and Program Data Management Systems to keep accurate records, make updates as directed
  • Maintain development records in Network For Good. Ensure overall data integrity. Run reports, synthesize information, and share frequent updates about current and prospective donors with the Director of Development
  • Prepare and send donor acknowledgement letters
  • Identify fundraising opportunities for the organization, including in-kind donations, online campaigns, and special events
  • Create mission-based, donor-centric appeals and recognition strategies distributed through a variety of channels including personal contacts, direct mail, social media and other correspondence
  • Coordinate and execute special mailings, including holiday cards and public relations campaigns
  • Assist with the organizations online presence through our website, blogs, and social media accounts; as needed
  • Assist with program related tasks such as entering program data or pulling reports
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Develop and update administrative systems to make them more efficient
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: An undergraduate degree and 1 years of experience in communications, marketing or nonprofit management; experience with data entry, collection and review; and experience with website content development and management are required. Experience with creating social media content is highly valued. Candidates must possess excellent communication and listening skills; strong writing and editing skills; strong organizational skill and meticulous attention to detail; the ability to manage multiple projects; and a willingness to learn. The ability to work in a team and alone, adaptability, appreciation of diversity, and a demonstrated interest or experience in social justice issues are a must.


Terms: This is a part-time contract position ($20 per hour)
