LGBTQ+, Human Rights and Human Trafficking: Collaborative to End Human Trafficking Hosts Forum on Intersectional Identities with First Openly Gay Prince from India

First Openly Gay Prince and Human Trafficking Survivor Discuss LGBTQ+ Rights and Human Trafficking Internationally

Cleveland, OH: Collaborative to End Human Trafficking partners with Aloft Cleveland Downtown, Asian Services in Action (ASIA, Inc.), and LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland to host Manvendra Singh Gohil, the Crown Prince of Rajpipla on July 7th, 2022, during his visit to Ohio.

Gohil is joined by Harold D’Souza, a survivor of labor trafficking and debt bondage. The prince has made a name for himself working to advance LGBTQ+ rights worldwide. D’Souza, a member of the Collaborative’s Survivor Advisory Council, has dedicated his life to bringing awareness to human trafficking and supporting victims.

Gohil and D’Souza have joined forces to shed light on global issues many are unaware of: the intersection of human trafficking and vulnerabilities, particularly pertaining to members of the LGBTQ+ community and the international population in Northeast Ohio. Gohil and D’Souza will discuss their own experiences and powerful collaboration to address issues of LGBTQ+ and Human Trafficking worldwide.

“Human Trafficking is an issue in LGBTQ and foreign-born communities that has been invisible for far too long”, says Kirsti Mouncey, President & CEO at the Collaborative to End Human Trafficking. “We are very fortunate to have Gohil and D’Souza in Cleveland to discuss the complex nature of these intersecting identities”.

Intersectional Identities: LGBTQ+, Human Trafficking and the International Community, a community forum for the public, will be held at the LGBT Center of Greater Cleveland, 6705 Detroit Ave, Cleveland, OH 44102, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Register here: https://bit.ly/3brIfYZ
