Job Title: Training & Technical Assistance Coordinator

Status: Full Time

 

General Description:

The Training & Technical Assistance Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating and presenting human trafficking training programs to, and conduct TA activities with, diverse audiences based on accurate, up-to-date information, so that victims are identified and have access to needed services. As part of the program team the Coordinator is also responsible for driving collective impact work forward, in particular supporting day-to-day communications, day-to-day administration, community engagement, and data functions of collective impact initiatives and other program related activities.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Speak to the purpose and services of all programs of the Collaborative to End Human Trafficking and promotes them
  • Develop and maintaining a list of community partners and upcoming events
  • Organize outreach against that list of community partners and upcoming events, including following-up as needed
  • Coordinate the design and development of trainings and technical assistance (TA), determine appropriate training/TA formats and methods (e.g. in-person, e-learning, experiential, etc.); finds, procures, and coordinates appropriate trainers (internal and outsourced); communicates with trainers to ensure training content and materials are prepared
  • Develop toolkits for providers from various sectors (behavioral health, medical, SUD, schools, etc) to comprehensively assess for HT, provide guidance for follow up steps. Components of the toolkit are: Process for identifying survivors at risk for trafficking/already trafficked; guidelines for interviewing; safety considerations; multidisciplinary referral and service plan; strategies for working with minors and LGBTQI youth; strategies for survivors who decline assistance; procedures regarding reporting, documentation and other.
  • Drawing upon best practices in educational principles and learning theory, work with internal and external subject matter experts and trainers to ensure trainings maximize value for participants; train, advise, and support staff on how to develop and deliver effective trainings; assist staff with the development of engaging training and e-learning materials.
  • Coordinate the execution of the trainings and TA. Determine training date, time, and location. Coordinate training/TA facilities or online training delivery platforms. Develop and manage training registration and evaluation processes.
  • Design and implement evaluative methods and tools to measure training and technical assistance program success and effectiveness. Draws upon evaluative information to improve the program.
  • Develop and document training and technical assistance standard operating procedures
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance capacity to deliver training and technical assistance, including the development of a training database/learning management system, and training guidelines and templates for staff. Evaluates tools and platforms for training delivery.
  • Develop and maintaining a list of community partners and upcoming events
  • Organize outreach against that list of community partners and upcoming events, including following-up as needed
  • Effectively collaborate and communicate with various coalition members (GCCR2HT) to increase identification and referrals of victims and at-risk youth
  • Maintain positive working relationships with community organizations
  • Assist with the coordination and management of logistics for collective impact initiatives
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of human trafficking awareness programs/events
  • Communicate the objectives of GCCR2HT to the community and potential partners, including sharing the Common Agenda, Blueprint, or other collateral
  • Facilitate ongoing communication between partners by hosting regular conference calls, in-person meetings, or coordinating regular email updates to ensure alignment of activity
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

The Training & Technical Assistance Coordinator needs strong presentation, training and public speaking skills, the ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech, and the desire to collaborate with and engage others. The qualified candidate will have work experience in education, social services, or a related field, the ability to be self-motivated, with a commitment to the mission of the Collaborative and those affected by human trafficking.

  • Bachelor’s degree or three years of successful work experience in related field required
  • Experience working with victims of crime and/or in the field of education
  • Knowledge of the issue of human trafficking and its complexities preferred
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with diverse individuals and organizations
  • Flexibility, creativity, and adaptability
  • Reliability and excellent time management skills
  • Ability to travel in the region
