General Description

Welcome to the dynamic realm of collaborative leadership. As our Chief Collaboration Officer, you will remove obstacles and build bridges to help diverse stakeholders work together to eradicate sex and labor trafficking in Cuyahoga County. As the facilitator of a network of stakeholders – known as Greater Cleveland’s Coordinated Response to Human Trafficking – you will leverage our past work and use your relationship-building skills to strengthen the network’s capacity to generate measurable, meaningful results. You will earn the trust of the coordinated response members and help them achieve together what none of them can achieve on their own.


Reporting directly to the President/CEO, your role holds immense responsibility in shaping the role of the Collaborative to End Human Trafficking as a respected, trusted convener among a diverse range of stakeholders. Your contributions extend beyond traditional leadership boundaries; you provide invaluable thought partnership in strategic discussions and play a pivotal role in advancing key network initiatives by expertly navigating the political landscape and protocols within our ecosystem.

By understanding and engaging with the complexities of network perspectives and relationships within our professional context, you will foster an environment where collaboration thrives, and impactful change becomes attainable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Network Leadership:

  • Understand the priorities, motivations, and constraints of network members and use that knowledge to help them identify the roles they play in responding to human trafficking.
  • Identify key members of the network that can exercise leadership within the network and support your efforts.
  • Build trusted relationships among members of the network.
 

Facilitation and Engagement:

  • Design and facilitate engaging meetings, workshops, and events that encourage meaningful dialogue, knowledge sharing, and relationship building among network participants.
  • Actively engage with stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities, and incorporate their feedback into network initiatives.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where all voices are heard, valued, and respected.
 

Capacity Building:

  • Identify opportunities for capacity building and skill development within the network, providing resources, training, and support to enhance participants’ effectiveness and impact.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop and implement learning initiatives, best practices, and tools that strengthen the network’s collective capacity to achieve its goals.
 

Planning and Implementation:

  • Support, equip and facilitate the network so members co-create and implement collective actions.
  • Monitor progress towards goals, track key performance indicators, and assess the impact of network activities, adjusting as needed to ensure success.
  • Identify emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges in the external environment and adapt network strategies accordingly.
 

Network Evaluation and Learning:

  • Establish systems and processes for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of network activities, collecting feedback, and learning from successes and failures.
  • Share lessons learned, best practices, and innovative approaches with network participants and stakeholders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Contribute to the broader field of network leadership and management through participation in conferences, workshops, and knowledge sharing platforms.
 

Relationship Management and Collaboration:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, partners, and community leaders, to leverage resources, expertise, and support for network initiatives.
  • Collaborate with external organizations, networks, and initiatives that share similar goals and values, exploring opportunities for synergy, collaboration, and collective action.
  • Represent the network in relevant forums, committees, and working groups, advocating for its interests, and contributing to collective efforts to address common challenges.
 

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network coordination, community organizing, or related field, with a proven track record of success in building relationships with diverse stakeholders and facilitating collective decision-making.
 

Leadership Skills:

  • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and mobilize diverse stakeholders towards a common goal.
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating meetings, workshops, and events, and fostering inclusive decision-making processes.
 

Communication:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and virtual meeting software.
 

Relationship Building:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including community members, partners, and funders.
  • Experience in conflict resolution, consensus-building, and negotiation, with a commitment to fostering collaboration and trust among network participants.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as community development, social work, public administration, or a related discipline. A master’s degree is preferred but not required.
